Karl Deisseroth keynote at 32nd ECNP Congress
We are proud to announce Karl Deisseroth (USA) as our keynote speaker for the 32nd ECNP Congress!
Karl Deisseroth is the D.H. Chen Professor of Bioengineering and of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. One of the leading neuroscientists in the world today, he is recipient of the Brain Prize (2013), the Albany Medical Center Prize (2015), the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award (2015), Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences (2016), and the Gairdner Foundation International Award (2018).
His lecture, ‘Linking circuit dynamics with molecular datastreams at cellular-resolution across the vertebrate brain’, will present some of his latest research and results.
We are looking forward to welcome Professor Deisseroth to Copenhagen!

If yes, then here is your chance to present a poster at the 32nd ECNP Congress, taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark on 7-10 September 2019.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 April 2019.
Abstracts can be submitted by psychiatrists, neuroscientists, neurologists, psychologists and other professionals from any country who are keen on engaging with the latest developments in the science and treatment of brain disorders. Early career scientists are especially encouraged to submit.

New Medications Session: propose your topic
The New Medications Session is a symposium format, in which the freshest and best data on new medications will be presented, including proof of concept and post-marketing studies.
Are you interested in presenting your new medication at the 32nd ECNP Congress?
Please send us by e-mail, before 1 May 2019, the following details:
- A suggested speaker (name, institute, e-mail)
- A presentation title (max. 25 words)
- A summary explaining the content of the presentation (max. 250 words)
- A short motivation: why is it important that these findings are shared?
We accept submissions from both academia and industry.

This month’s meetings in Nice, France
During the coming days, the city of Nice, France will be hosting a number of very valuable ECNP meetings.
On 7-10 March the ECNP Workshop for Early Career Scientists in Europe is held. Around 100 Early Career Scientists come together with research leaders to discuss the latest advances and perspectives on specific topics.
On 10-11 March, the New Frontiers Meeting in Digital Health will bring together academics, industry leaders and regulators to explore exciting new areas of emerging science and map out promising new research horizons. This meeting is dedicated to the role of digital medicine in therapy development for brain disorders.
We wish the participants of both meetings a fruitful time in this beautiful city!

ECNP Seminars 2019
Every year ECNP hosts four ECNP Seminars, an interactive training course for future leading scientists in neuropsychopharmacology. Participants have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in a concentrated learning environment with local and international experts.
The Seminar is intended for European countries whose researchers and practitioners have limited opportunities to attend international meetings.
For 2019, two Seminars are now lined up:
29-31 March, Palanga, Lithuania
8-10 November, Zrenjanin, Serbia

Congratulations to the 2019 Brain Prize winners!
ECNP is pleased to congratulate the winners of the 2019 Brain Prize: French neuroscientists Marie-Germaine Bousser, Hugues Chabriat, Anne Joutel, and Elisabeth Tournier-Lasserve, from the Lariboisière Hospital and INSERM in Paris.
The prize honours the group’s outstanding 30-year research collaboration into small vessel strokes in the brain and the light it has shed onto the most common hereditary form of stroke. The Brain Prize comes with an award of € 1 million.
We look forward to welcoming one of the winners as our Brain Prize Lecturer at the 33rd ECNP Congress in Vienna, 12-15 September 2020.
